Volunteer and earn 70% on your items.  The more you volunteer the earlier you shop!

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION FOR THE 2010 SPRING SALE WILL BEGIN IN EARLY 2010.

Volunteers are what make JBF sales work.  Working at a JBF sale is so much fun and we always need your help.  Plus, consignors who also volunteer earn 70% on their items!  Please sign-up for as many shifts as you can comfortably work since the more you volunteer, the earlier you shop!  Below are descriptions of the most common volunteer tasks as well as a description of how the pre-sale passes work.  If you have not volunteered before, please click here for our Volunteer Information page.

The Presale day for the Spring 2010 sale will be Friday April 30.  Mark you calendars now!

Each volunteer pre-sale pass is valid for one individual.  For example if you and a friend both want to shop at the 4-hour pre-sale, you would need a total of 8 volunteer or barter hours to qualify for two pre-sale passes.  If you want to attend the 12-hour presale, you need to have a total of 12 volunteer hours either earned at the sale or through barters.  You may have friends and family volunteer with you and count all of your hours towards one pre-sale pass.

Note:  You may divide your 8 or 12 hours into more than one shift.  Your shifts do not need to be worked on the same day or by the same person...we love responsible teenagers, spouses, and grandparents.

You will not have to pay to park to during your volunteer shift.  The EXPO center will not be charging JBF volunteers or consignors for parking during the Setup, Drop Off, Pick Up, and Breakdown times.  During the pre-sale times and the sale days, the Expo center will charge for parking, but JBF will provide a parking pass to anyone who volunteers during one of these shifts.

Can't make it to volunteer?  Still want to shop early?
Check out our Barter Options or ask a family member to volunteer for you.

Remember:  We have plenty of volunteer activities appropriate for pregnant ladies!

DO YOU KNOW ANY MEN WHO WOULD VOLUNTEER?
We're looking for a few good men (yes, they can volunteer for YOUR shop early pass) to help set up on Wednesday and breakdown on Monday.  We would also love some manly assistance to help customers with loading bulkier items during the sale.

Below are some of the most common JBF volunteer positions:

CHECKOUT: Volunteer will scan tags as shoppers check out, count the number of items, and take payment from the shopper.

SALES FLOOR:  Volunteer will circulate on sales floor checking for dropped items and missing tags, straightening clothing on racks and tables, or hanging up items that were not purchased.

GREETER:  Volunteer will greet shoppers at the door, tag personal strollers and carriers, check for any appropriate pre-sale passes, and then direct customers to the various areas for shopping.

JACK-OF-ALL-TRADES: If you can do any or all of the above then we have hit the jackpot!  Sometimes we may need you at one position and then switch you to another as shifts and numbers of shoppers change.

INSPECTION:  On drop off day JBF needs people to check through all of the clothing brought in by consignors to make sure it meets the JBF standards  (i.e. no rips, stains, or holes etc...).

SET UP/DROP OFF:  Volunteers will help to set up clothing racks and tables before drop off.  After the sale, JBF will need volunteers to sort the unsold items and take down the clothing racks and tables.
